Single-seated Type         1. Single-seated control valves have good flow capacity.       2. Single-seated control valves have tight shut-off.       3. Single seated control valves have good range ability.       4. Single-seated control valves have a higher turndown.    Turndown is the ratio between the maximum and minimum controllable flow rate.

Double-seated Type         1. Double-seated control valves need less amount of force to move the stem.       2. Double-seated control valves may be used in large-diameter applications       3. By using double-seated control valves, the flow can be diverted.
