Installation specifications
1. The valve should be installed vertically and should be installed in the gas phase space above the liquid level of the pressure vessel, or on the pipeline connected to the gas phase space of the pressure vessel.
2. The cross-sectional area of the connecting pipes and fittings between pressure vessels and valves shall not be less than the inlet cross-sectional area of the valve, and the connecting pipes shall be as short and straight as possible.
3. When two or more valves are installed on a connecting port of a pressure vessel, the cross-sectional area of the inlet of the connecting port should be at least equal to the sum of the inlet cross-sectional areas of these valves.
4. It is generally not advisable to install shut-off valves between valves and pressure vessels. But in special occasions, in order to achieve non-stop production and carry out valve calibration and maintenance, it is stipulated that shut-off valves can be installed between the valve and the pressure vessel.
But the valve should be fully open (sealed or locked with lead), and the structure and diameter of the shut-off valve should not hinder the valve's release.
5. The valve installation position should be easy to inspect and maintain, and the valve should generally be calibrated at least once a year.
